About the Program
Explore India's first World Heritage City, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The city of Ahmedabad is endowed with a rich architectural heritage that is vital to the local identity and the place's continuity. In July 2017, it was inscribed as a World Heritage City, primarily for its rich cultural heritage and historic significance. Ahmedabad is known for its harmonious co-existence of Hindu, Islamic, and Jain communities, which is reflected in its architecture, traditions, and way of life.
